Vice President Jejomar Binay said the latest charges spewing out of the mouth of Senator Antonio Trillanes are nothing but saliva.
Puro laway, said Binay as Trillanes bared more alleged anomalies of Binay at the recent holding of the Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee.
In the August 26 hearing of the anti-graft body, Trillanes said a former Makati City official benefitted from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of Makati Representative Abigail Binay, daughter of the vice president.
Trillanes said Rep. Binay issued 15 checks funded by her PDAF in the name of Ryan Barcelo, the former officer-in-charge of the Makati Social Welfare Department.
In the hearing, Trillanes pressed Barcelo to explain why the checks were issued in his name instead of the Makati city government.
Barcelo explained he was the special disbursing officer of the city government.
“The office of Congresswoman Binay had programs for medical and financial assistance,” Barcelo said.
