With his opponents pumping millions of pesos into advertisements ahead of the campaign period for the 2016 election, presidential candidate Vice President Jejomar Binay said he has no money to spend for his ads.

While Binay only has a few spots on national television paid for by friends, administration bet Mar Roxas of the Liberal Party and independent candidate Senator Grace Poe have of late been lording over the media war on television, radio and print.

The lack of an impressive media campaign however has not affected Binay’s rating in surveys.

In the latest survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS), the three top contenders to the presidency landed in a ‘statistical tie,’ with Poe taking 26 percent, Binay with 24 and Roxas 20 percent.
