Even as he has already shot the door to a presidential run in 2016, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has his guns blazing, firing verbal scud missiles at administration candidate Mar Roxas.
On top of calling Roxas, presidential bet of the Liberal Party of President Benigno Aquino, a “dirty player,” Duterte also said the former Interior Secretary is not fit to be president and predicted his presidential bid would crash.

Earlier, Duterte linked Roxas to a journalist who claimed Duterte is not running for President in 2016 because the mayor has cancer of the throat.
In a radio interview, Duterte reiterated his earlier warning about baring who the real Roxas is, after journalist Philip Lustre posted the false claim in his Facebook account.
“Sabi ko, maghintay lang kayo ng panahon na sabihin ko sa buong Pilipinas kung bakit itong tao na ito, hindi ito pwedeng maging presidente,” Duterte said in the radio interview a day after his aide, Bong Go, filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for Mayor at the Comelec in Davao City on October 14.
The filing of the COC did not put a stop to rumors Duterte could withdraw his mayoral bid and then file a COC for President in Manila.
On Friday, October 16, the last day for iling of COC, Duterte, who has repeatedly said he was not running for President, banged the final nail to wild speculations he was running for President by not appearing at the main Comelec office in Intramuros Manila, where presidential aspirants are to file their COC.
A large throng of Duterte supporters had massed at the Comelec national office for two days to wait for the mayor to arrive but not a shadow of Duterte showed up to the 5PM deadline set by Comelec.
In the radio interview, Duterte said Roxas and his camp are “dirty players.”
They thought I am really running so they started to hit me very early in a very, very dirty way, Duterte said.
When the false story by Lustre came out, Duterte said the piece was black propaganda and said he was not suffering from any ailment except for a bum shoulder suffered from a motorcycle crash.
He said the attack was unexpected as he and Roxas served in the 11th Congress together
