Administration bet Mar Roxas definitely is not in his radar and former President now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada is at the crossroad of who to support in the 2016 presidential election.
Vice President Jejomar Binay or Senator Grace Poe?
I will be choosing between mykumpadre Vice President Binay and my inaanak (goddaughter) Sen. Grace, said Estrada.
I will make the decision a month from now or in the middle of the campaign, Estrada said yesterday, October 16, at a presscon.
Estrada admitted having a hard time deciding who to support between Binay and Poe.
Binay is the standard bearer of the opposition United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), while Poe, the adopted daughter of the late movie icon Fernando Poe, Jr., Estrada’s friend, is on an independent dash to the presidency. Roxas is the candidate of President Benigno Aquino’s Liberal Party.
Estrada and his Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) teamed up with Binay and his Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in the 2010 election under the UNA banner.
Estrada lost the 2010 presidential race to Aquino but Binay busted Roxas, Aquino’s running mate.
Estrada said that his foremost consideration is the platform of governance of the candidates and will choose the presidential candidate whose “platform of governance jibes with mine.”
