Vice President Jejomar Binay remains at the top of pre-poll surveys but shared the lead with Senator Grace Poe in the latest survey for presidential preference of Social Weather Station (SWS) and Business World.
Binay (United Nationalist Alliance) and Poe (Independent) tied with 26 percent each in the survey conducted December 12-14 with 1,200 respondents.
Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas was third with 22 percent.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte (PDP/Laban) chalked up 20 percent for the fourth spot.
Tail-ender Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago was fifth with 4 percent.
On Tuesday, Pulse Asia released results of its latest survey with Binay in the lead and Poe at second spot.
Binay upped his points by 2 percentiles in the latest survey against his September figure in the survey also by SWS where he landed at second with 24 % against Poe’s 26 percent.
In that survey, Roxas was third with 20 percent while Duterte, at that time still undecided on a presidential run, got 11 percent. Santiago had two percent.
Duterte, is the biggest gainer in the latest survey, with a 9-point jump against the September survey.
