The former lover of Senator Leila de Lima equated the intensity of their seven-year love affair to earthquake and typhoon signals, from Intensity 5 or Signal No. 5 at its hottest, and Intensity 1 or Signal No. 1 when the relationship started to sour up.
Intensity 5 roared in 2007, when the relationship started after De Lima took Ronnie Dayan as an employee in her law firm. The secret romance would continue to bloom as De Lima brought Dayan, now her private driver and bodyguard, with her when she was appointed as chairman of the Commission on Human Rights during the Macapagal-Arroyo administration, and as Justice Secretary during the Benigno Aquino presidency.
Tragedy – Intensity 1 — struck to end the romance at the end of 2014.
Dayan, who also heads the security team of the Senator, found out that De Lima was also carrying an affair with two other members of her security team.
Dayan, who is married, bared his 7- year illicit relationship with De Lima in a tell-all testimony when he faced the House of Representative justice committee on Thursday, November 24, in a legislative inquiry into the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.
Dayan is alleged to have acted as “bagman” who collected drug money, as campaign fund for De Lima’s 2016 senatorial bid, from drug lords incarcerated in the national penitentiary. READ MORE
