DOH OMICRON INFECTION TALLY AT 492 CASES

Detected: 332 local, 160 ROF cases

A total of 492 new cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus have been detected from the 714 samples sequenced last January 14, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Wednesday.

In a joint statement with the University of the Philippines – Philippine Genome Center (UP-PGC) andand the University of the Philippines – National Institutes of Health (UP-NIH), the DOH said 115 cases are positive for the Delta variant and one Alpha variant. Read More
