DUTERTE TOPS PULSE ASIA, STANDARD-LAYLO SURVEYS; THANKS IGLESIA FOR ENDORSEMENT

image-20-720x340

We welcome the endorsement of the Iglesia ni Cristo INC). This is a big boost to our campaign particularly to thwart attempts by the administration to cheat the elections.

The LP is claiming to be in a momentum, an empty boast but clearly laying the premises and conditioning the minds of our people on the grand fraud they plan to unleash with unbelievable results on election day.

IGLESIA ENDORSES DUTERTE

1.7M-strong INC for Duterte

Duterte tops final The Standard poll

Duterte survives β€˜rape comment’, tops Pulse Asia poll

This endorsement shows that Duterte’s advocacy forβ€ͺ #β€ŽTunayNaPagbabagoΒ has resonated to almost all our people and all our church formations affected by the rising crimes and drugs, continuing corruption and government neglect, poverty and sufferings of our people.

These issues are close to the hearts of our moral leaders and the various churches have their own campaigns to end this malady.

Hence, we have received various expressions of support from many religious groups and religious leaders not just from the INC. But fully aware of its church discipline in voting, this INC endorsement is truly significant.

We thank the INC as well all other religious groups and religious leaders.

In fact, we are very grateful that no less than the Pope himself has written to Duterte and saying his own prayers.Β Peter Lavina, Head of Media Group

INC PROTEST RALLY SPREADS TO DAVAO

After MetroManila, members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) will hold massive protest rallies in Davao City against alleged meddling by the Aquino administration into the affairs of the politically-influential sect.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating a criminal complaint filed by an expelled INC minister against eight members of the Sanggunian, the sect’s highest administrative body.

Thousands of INC members held a protest action before theΒ DOJ on Thursday which continued until Friday in MetroManila.

The mass action created monstrous traffic jams and drew adverse public reaction.

An estimated 200,000 INC members from all over Mindanao are making their way to Davao City for the nationally-coordinated rally on Monday, August 31, that especially targets Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, said a report in rappler.com.

De Lima is listed in the senatorial line-up of the ruling Liberal Party (LP). Headline photo: rappler.com

INC FINDS ALLY IN BINAY

INC FINDS ALLY IN BINAY

The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has found an ally in Vice President Jejomar Binay who urged the administration of President Benigno Aquino to stop meddling in the affairs of the influential religious sect.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating a criminal complaint filed by an expelled INC minister against eight members of the Sanggunian, the sect’s highest administrative body.

DELIMA RALLYThousands of INC members held a protest action before theΒ DOJ on Thursday which continued until Friday.

Binay said the INC was only exercising its freedom to assembly and religious freedom.

Binay, a presidential aspirant in the 2016 polls, is seemingly wooing the favor of the INC, known for their bloc voting during elections.

The INC supporters criticized Justice Secretary Leila De Lima for allegedly meddling in the internal affairs of the INC.

Β β€œWe cannot fault the INC for resorting toΒ mass Β action to protect the independence of their church from a clear act of harassment and interference from the administration,” the Vice President said.

β€œReligious freedom is guaranteed by our Constitution. Yet the administration chose to trample on this sacred right. What we are seeing are people fighting for their faith,” he added.google

IGLESIA NI CRISTO HOLDS PROTEST RALLY VS DELIMA

On the day Justice Secretary Leila de Lima announced her senatorial bid in 2016, members of the politically influential Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) slammed the justice chief in a rally in front of her agency.

To the tune of the famous song, β€œWhy, Why, Why, Delilah,” INC members chanted during their protest, β€œWhy, why, why, De Lima?”

When asked if they would vote De Lima for senator, the INC members answered, β€œHindi!” (No!)

INC members vote as a bloc, and politicians court INC leaders to win any election. (READ: INC: From rag-tag sect to influential wheeler dealer?)

Up to 1.37 million of around 52 million Filipino voters, or 2.6% of the voting population, belong to the INC.
