BINAY TOPS LATEST PULSE ASIA SURVEY

Vice President Jejomar Binay has bounced back to take the lead in the latest Pulse Asia Survey on presidential preference.

In a dramatic leap, Binay hit 33 percent, up 14 percent from the previous survey, in the latest survey released by Pulse Asia on December 22.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, front runner in another survey by Social Weather Station (SWS) covering MetroManila, placed second with 23 %. He is up by 7 percent from the previous survey of Pulse Asia.

Senator Grace Poe, who led in the previous Pulse Asia survey,  slid down to third place with with 21%. Mar Roxas is at 17%, down 3% from his 20% in a previous survey. Senator Miriam Santiago is at the tail-end with 4%.

The nationwide survey conducted December 4-11 covered 1,800 respondents who are registered voters.

ROXAS BEATS BINAY IN LATEST SURVEY

Move over, Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia.

You got it all wrong.

Who says Interior Secretary Mar Roxas is losing in the presidential surveys? The results of surveys of the two most credible pollsters in the country had Roxas, Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer, hogging the bottom behind independent Senator Grace Poe, Vice President Jejomar Binay of the opposition United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) and reluctant candidate Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

Some people could not accept their losing fate no matter if facts stare at their face.

Roxas would win hands down in a one-on-one race with Binay, results of a survey say.

Alas and alack, the survey was commissioned by the ruling LP headed by President Benigno Aquino.

If LP vice chair for political affairs Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice is in the movies, the late Comedy King Dolphy has an heir to his throne.

Erice said the survey with Roxas beating Binay 53-37 was an “internal survey” commissioned by the LP and conducted by an anonymous survey outfit.

According to Erice, the survey, with 1,200 respondents, was conducted nationwide in the week following Aquino’s July 31 endorsement of Roxas as his preferred presidential candidate.

Erice was candid enough to admit that the names of Poe and Duterte were not included in the surveys.

The joke of the year delivered by the comedy king of the 2016 election about the future of the joke that is Mar, was the reaction of UNA president Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco, according to his close aides.
